Contract Manager / Data Centre Manager - Building Maintenance


The Company
Our client is a rapidly expanding Managed Services Company, they have successfully grown their business by 40% in the last four years. They provide a range of Building Services Maintenance Solutions in M&E, fabric and projects services and have a number of prestigious contracts in the financial, government and commercial blue chip sectors.

The Role
They are recruiting for a Contract/Account Manager based in London and Home Counties to work in their Critical Services Division, this division provides Building, Fabric and M&E services to organisations highly dependant on IT such as Datacentre and Trading Floor and call centre operations.
The purpose and remit of the role includes:
* Providing leadership, management, and development of a defined contract ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded.
* Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are exploited, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensure additional services and projects are added, and contracts are re-won on re-tender.
* Ensure optimum staffing structure operates across contract, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence. Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.
* Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.
* Ensure that both the clients and the companies Health and Safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both the company and subcontractor activities, and that they are regularly reviewed.
* Work with clients to create and agree "Innovation Plans" designed to increase efficiency on site, and to deliver a return on investment as part of our commitment to clients to deliver engineering excellence throughout the term of the contract.
* Accountabilities include accountable day-to-day to the relevant client, Line management responsibility for a contract team and indirectly for sub- contractors plus financial responsibility for the delivery of Plan commitments for the contract.

The Candidate
* The candidate must have managerial experience at Contract Manager or Senior Supervisor level within a technical and or Hard Services arena.
* Must have experience managing building maintenance in a critical environment such as providing M&E and building services into a Datacentre/IT environment.
* Education ideally to HND level, and able to demonstrate a career with continuous personal development.
* Up to date technical knowledge of ACOP's, fire and environmental control measures, building control requirements and the Health and Safety at work act.
* Practical experience must include recruitment and line management experience.
* Must be analytical, have vision, be innovative and be an excellent communicator, be committed to customer service and possess a high level of personal integrity.
* You must be computer literate, be organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure business critical environments.
* You must be politically aware, and able to see the "big picture" from the clients perspective. You must be able to understand customer requirements and translate those into agreed actions.
* You must be a "results" orientated individual who can create a performance / objectives based environment, and encourage your team to work towards meeting and exceeding their performance based objectives.
* The candidate must be a team player and have the ability to travel and stay overnight as some overnight stays may be required.

The Reward
In return, the successful candidates will receive an excellent remuneration package including generous bonus, a car allowance, a company pension scheme, and healthcare. In addition the company is committed to major expansion of this division over the next four years offering outstanding career progression opportunities to the successful candidate.
50-55k basic plus bonus (20% of basic), car allowance £5,200 per annum plus benefits including healthcare and pension.
