Requirements for Quantity Surveyor or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:
o Ideally 3+ Years Quantity Surveying experience
o BSc in Quantity Surveying or construction related subject is advantageous
o Strong contractor background
o RICS membership is desirable
The client:
My client develops commercial, industrial, retail and leisure premises, most of which they build themselves. In addition, they provide building and construction services to a wide range of customers varying from 'small ticket' to large capital projects. They also maintain buildings providing 24-hour urgent response repairs or planned preventative maintenance.
The job:
The successful candidate will be dealing with projects ranging from £300k to £1.5m which include 16th Century Manor, industrial, Schools, New Build, Design & Build, Health, from procurement to final accounts. The successful Quantity Surveyor is to work along side the Commercial Manager and will be given responsibility to oversee 2-3 projects worth £500k.
